Chef Nick

If you’ve ever been to Taverna Manos – you KNOW Chef Nick. As the locals know, he comes to each and every table to meet and greet his customers – as well as discuss their dietary needs. He often remembers peoples likes and dislikes in advance. He answers questions thoroughly and offers suggestions to what is available in the kitchen. He then specially prepares each and every dish from scratch using only the finest ingredients. His fine dining, reservations only restaurant, Taverna Manos (named after his papou) – has been in business for 12 years and is well established and usually well booked weekly.

With degrees in Microbiology and Zoology from the University of Florida – he brings a wealth of safe culinary practices to his kitchen. His blog and this website are instrumental in sharing his guidelines for a healthy, safe kitchen in your home.

He is happiest cooking for satisfied guests. He also enjoys selecting items that he feels will simplify or enhance your life.

Best Greek Food!

Taverna Manos has been a long-time favorite of mine but due to covid, I hadn’t been there in quite a while. It’s still the best restaurant around! I ordered Athenian Shrimp for the first time. It was absolutely delicious! I was so happy that I ordered it and I also have plenty of leftovers. The Tuscan Dip appetizer was totally addicting and the Dolmades are the Greek appetizer that I always crave. Taverna Manos is an outstanding restaurant, whether you enjoy eating in their beautiful dining room or doing the takeout service.

We absolutely loved our visit at Taverna Manos!! The service we received was extremely warm and welcoming.Our waitress was a gem!
The food was absolutely delicious.. I can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful evening in this small, homey restaurant. Nick and his other half are delightful, easy going, making for a very relaxed visit with friends. Our meals were incredibly delicious.

Be forewarned: reservations may be necessary or at least they were the evening we tried to eat there (5/5/22). They opened at 5 p.m. and we were there shortly thereafter. No other diners were there. We were treated nicely, but we couldn’t eat there without a reservation. We were so disappointed as the menu online looked scrumptious. I post this review so that others will be better prepared. I’m sure the food is excellent. They are very highly rated. Just be sure you call ahead first to make sure they can accommodate you.
